I bought this CD when I was studying Renaissance culture and found it really got me in the mood. It's great to listen to while doing something else - not too demanding but stimulating nonetheless. I have listened to it many times and I'd have to say it's great value for two CDs. Recorder music may not sound exciting but actually it is a great instrument when played ensemble.
