This is not a method book and has very little in progressive works (none at all actually) but this does not mean it’s not a useful and worth while book. This book is more of a master class book and takes one through the basics and fundamentals that may be glossed over in other method books. It includes exercises on breathing, articulation, and proper hand movement – it goes into great detail about these areas of playing. Its what you would expect from a master class on recorder. It will be useful in supporting what one gets from some of the simpler method books for adults. I would not suggest this book for a beginner or someone new to music – but if you have a bit under your fingers and need some tweaks to improve this may be one to look into.
